About Us
Established in 2003 by two working mums, The Tiny Toes Nursery Club has grown into the most reputable and best Nursery in Hertford, UK. We have proudly supported over 900 children on their early learning journey.
Unlike large corporate nursery chains, The Tiny Toes Nursery Club is a truly independent, family-run nursery. We also offer a warm and welcoming ‘home-from-home’ environment. Our team intentionally restricts the number of children in each room. Allowing our passionate team to build meaningful relationships with every child and family, altogether. Each child matters to us as a unique individual, not just a number in a busy setting.
We proudly operate as the only Curiosity Approach® accredited nursery in the Hertford area. Drawing inspiration from Montessori principles and modern early-years research is what we do. Our child-led, play-based philosophy brings curiosity, awe, and wonder into everyday learning. Encouraging children to become confident, creative, and independent thinkers.
In 2025, we proudly opened our brand-new dedicated Baby Unit, designed specifically for babies aged 6 to 18 months. We are located in a separate building from the main nursery. This calm and cosy space allows our youngest children to flourish in their own secluded environment. We offer a private garden and specialist baby sensory resources that support their early development and wellbeing at this tender age.
As a result of our child-led educational philosophy and supportive family feel, we often see children who graduate from our nursery, go on to be ahead of their peers with their problem-solving & communication skills when they start school.
EXCELLENT Based on 32 reviews Posted on Holly FradleyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We chose to send our first born daughter to Tiny Toes at 9 months old, it was a huge decision for us and we are so happy we did. The whole team are really dedicated and our child genuinely gets excited when she is dropped off with the team, especially her favourite - Kelly! A few stand out things: Sleeping - the nursery team really kept to our requests of no naps after a certain time and we worked with them to get her into a good routine that also works for us at home. Nutrition - the menu is balanced and we are always updated on how much she ate in the day - which is always plenty! Environment - the baby room gives off a caring and tranquil environment for the children in comparison to other nurseries we visited, this was really important to us for our daughter. Child development - the variety of activities and play stations they have are great and our child has really developed well here. Although the garden is not huge they are often outside and it looks to be a safe, fun space. Communication with staff - the app is helpful, we get an update at the end of each day, it's not overkill on images and updates during the day and when we collect a team member is always able to give us an overview and able to ask any questions we have. Karina the manager has always been extremely helpful whenever we have had queries. Overall I can't speak more highly of Tiny Toes and would highly recommend this nursery to anyone. Thank you team Tiny Toes!Posted on Rachel YoungTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We are so glad we chose Tiny Toes for our twins, they both loved it from day one. The new baby room is fantastic, it is such a lovely space with a garden area which looks out onto the river, our daughter loves the ducks! The whole baby room team are fantastic and so warm and friendly. Molly, our twins key worker, has been amazing, the twins love her, and she definitely had her hands full taking on both of them at the same time! Even at the end of a long day Molly is always so enthusiastic and makes time to tell us about the twins day when we come and pick them up. The twins have learnt so much since starting nursery, it's so lovely to see. Thank you Tiny Toes!Posted on Pamela MurrayTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our son started 6 months ago and what a lovely journey we have had. He took some time to settle and adjust to being away from home, but was lovingly supported by Kelly, his key worker, and the rest of the team. The new baby room, is a lovely space, and seeing the ducks is a hit. Kelly has been such a positive ball of energy with boundless enthusiasm for our son and his development. I really appreciate the individual attention and detailed observations that Kelly and Karina offer him. The team are supportive and have great communication when there is sickness or if we have any requests or workarounds are needed. I love that we chose Tiny Toes.Posted on Catherine FinchTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Tiny Toes is an absolutely amazing nursery, and I’m so thankful I signed my daughter up. I had to return to work when my daughter was only 9 months old, and the baby room staff were incredible with her especially Kat, who was her key worker. I received so many updates to put my mind at ease, and seeing Aria’s face light up when she saw Kat was honestly so heartwarming. I knew then that I had made the right decision. As Aria grew and moved downstairs to the older group, I was quite nervous about the transition, but Jen and her team were fantastic. They kept me updated with plenty of pictures and messages, which helped reassure me again. Emily, who has been Aria’s key worker in the bigger room, has been amazing she and Aria share such a lovely bond. I truly appreciate everything all the ladies at Tiny Toes do for our family, especially for Aria. I’m so thankful for both of her key workers, Kat and now Emily, but it really does take a village to raise a child, and I’m grateful for the entire Tiny Toes team! Thank you so much! Amazing nursery and would recommend to everyone! CatherinePosted on Michelle BenvenuttoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Such a caring nursery, which has meant my daughter has settled in so well. Regular updates have put my mind at ease and I love seeing what she is learning/doing. A special shout out to key worker, Issy Moore. Everyone has been amazing though.Posted on R KlustTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our son has just finished at Tiny Toes ready to start at school and we’re ALL going to miss it there. He has been so well cared for by wonderful staff. We truly couldn’t have been happier with our experience or choice of pre-school for him.Posted on Paper Pages Publishing LtdTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great setting, great staff - my son attended here for a year, he had at the time undiagnosed sensory needs, and the staff here went above and beyond to support me and my son with accessing the relevant support whilst still accommodating his needs to ensure he enjoyed being there. They offer so much for the children to do throughout the day and is very much led by the child. I would definitely recommend to other parents.Posted on Emily ClaydonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My daughter has spent the last two and a half years here being nurtured around the most lovely team of ladies. She has grown leaps and bounds from your nursery, and we will miss you all very much!Posted on Priyushi PatelTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
